Confraria do Vinho do Porto

This is a brotherhood that was established in 1982, but had been on the drawing table since 1964 and had to wait for the revolution in 1974 before the dream came true. Robin Reid from Croft was chiefly responsible for the Confraria. When a minimum of 10 shippers have declared vintage Port, the Confraria declared its own Vintage and the first was obviously 1982. Every port house who had declared the vintage contributes with 25 litre of the vintage to the Confraria port, a genuine mixed port.
