Working in the business for many years, the two men Gonçalo Sousa Lopes and Rui Cunha joined in 2004 to start their own project. In 2015 they launched their first Vintage Port under the Lacrau label. The wine is produced and bottled by Vinoquel-Vinhos Oscar Quevedo Lda.
