The Maynard’s brand honors the story of the late Walter Maynard, ancestor of the van Zeller family through his marriage to Dorothy Augusta Kopke. He is recorded as one of the first traders to ever export Port wine to England, already in 1652.

TasteMedium body. Quite easy to drink already today but quite tannic. Balanced and elegant with a lot of nice tannin and quite tasty with fruit, bananas and dark berry dominating the taste. The finish is nice and appreciated and indeed very promising.
