The Trigo family has owned Quinta do Couquinho in the Vilariça Valley for two centuries. The estate comprises 22ha of vineyard and in 2003 they started making wines under their own label. The first Vintage Port was the 2013 and it was given the name Dona Maria Adelaide Melo e Trigo as a tribute to a family member, also being the main driver of the project.
