Quinta do Rei, previously spelled Rey, is a small quinta, purchased by Messias in 1958 from Gonzalez Byass. It is now more or less incorporated in Quinta do Cachao and occupies part of the slopes on the opposite side of a re-entrant of the river. Quinta do Rei is placed in the heart of the entire quinta.
