This quinta was marked on Forrester’s map It belong to Baron de Seixo to the mid 19th century and acquired of Miguel de Sousa Guedes probably in the late 1880s and bought by Ferreira in 1979. Sousa Guedes & Irmao has made a port with the quintas name and so did Ferreira in 1983. Quinta do Seixo came to Sogrape 1987 when Ferreira was bought and was transferred to Sandeman when Sogrape bought this house in 2002.

BouquetLovely bouquet of coffee, tea, cacao, dark chocolate, ginger, zest of orange, some herbs and old grocery shop.Score range16.00 - 16.50
TasteMedium bodied. Mature and at its peak. Will not improve. Astonishing dry. Cacao. chocolate, some liquorice and ginger in flavour. The finish is quite complex and attractive. An elegant port indeed.Average score16.28

BouquetMulberry, blackberry, dark cherry, sweet liquorice, dark chocolate and cacao in the nose.Score range15.75 - 16.00
TasteMedium body. Rather mature with round tannins and will be much better. Sweet liquorice, cacao, chocolate and dark berries in taste. Balanced and complex with a quite long, sweet and attractive finish. Will be interesting to follow. Quite promising!Average score15.89

BouquetFruit, mulberry, black berry and dark cherry in the nose.
TasteMedium body. Immature and lots of lovely tannin. Balanced and loaded with fruit and dark berry with blackberry and mulberry in taste and a nice and quite attractive finish. Very enjoyable and will be nice to follow.

BouquetDark berry such as blackberry, mulberry cacao, some chocolate and some spiciness in the generous nose.
TasteMaybe medium body. Balanced and very easy to drink and enjoy already today. Very elegant and the taste is very attractive with dark berry, cacao, chocolate and spiciness. The finish is quite long and seductive.
