Quinta do Sibio
Quinta do Sibio
Owner | Silva Reis family |
---|
Belonging to Real Companhia Velha.
Historians have confirmed that Quinta do Síbio was planted around the same time as the foundation of Real Companhia Velha in 1756. It was known as Quinta do Jordao and planted by José Joaquim Pereira Jordão in the 1860s and 1870s. The quinta was in the hands of the Jordão family until 1934 when Real Companhia Vinicola purchased it. The quinta was known locally as Quinta do Sibio. Real Vinicola, including this quinta, was bought by Real Comp. Velha in 1963, but the quinta was still sold under the Real Vinicola label.
