Soalheira means in English 'the noon-day heat'. It was bought by Borges in 1904 and is still an important part of Borges. The quinta is situated far up along the the Rio Torto valley outside any of the 18th century demarcations.

TasteMedium body. Of course mature with some delicate old acidity but balanced and very complex. Very easy to drink and enjoy with a taste of old grocery shop, fudge, burned sugar and lots of other things and a quite long and seductive finish.Average score

TasteLovely body. Quite mature and easy to drink and enjoy. Still some round and elegant tannins and will improve. Balanced and tasty with a quite complex and lovely, rather long finish. A very interesting port indeed.Average score

TasteMedium body. Balance with some elegant and quite attractive tannins. Dark berries and fruit in taste. Balanced and quite tasty with lots of dark berry and promising tannins but easy to drink and enjoy already today but will be much better. The finish is complex and quite attractive.Average score
