Quinta de Ventozelo

Quinta de Ventozelo - Sociedade Agrícola e Comercial, S.A.

Owner Gran Cruz

This quinta is known since the 13th century when it belonged to a Cistercian monastery in Sao Pedro das Aguias. In 1950 the quinta was sold to Edmundo Alves Ferreira and he owned it until 1999 when the Spanish Group PROINSA bought the quinta. Until then the quinta had sold its grapes to other producers, but around this time, starting with the vintage 1998, the quinta started producing their own Vintage Ports.

In 2014 the quinta was once again was sold, this time to Gran Cruz.
