Vintage Port Brands Rebello Valente

Robertson Brothers was established 1847. It began with a partnership between James Nisbet Robertson and the British wine merchants Binder & Gray. John Gray died in 1855 and the name changes to Robertson Brothers. 1881 it bought the name Rebello Valente from Allen Co. and start shipping vintage port. In 1953 Sandeman bought Robertson Brothers but it did not include their Quinta do Roncao, an excellent vineyard east of Pinhao. In 1979 Seagram took over Sandeman and also Robertson Brothers.
