Chr. Stausholm
Chr. Stausholm was a Danish Wine merchant and had one of the oldest wine shop in Denmark, founded in 1858 by Johan Christian Stausholm in Bredgade 40, Copenhagen. The company was issued a Royal warrant of appointment to the Royal Danish Court. Chr. Stasholm was sold to C.J.O. Adamsen. In 1935 H.C. Nielsen was new owner and he was succeeded by his son B.O. Nielsen. The firm Chr. Stausholm was very well regarded and was known to make good domestic bottlings of wine. Chr. Stausholm has bottled Vintage Port under his own label as Buyers Own Brand, B.O.B., under the Stauholm lable.
In 1970 Chr. Stausholm was acquired by wine merchant Carl Permin, and in 1978 by the wine merchant Kjær & Sommerfeldt and integrated in the same. In 2001 Kjær & Sommerfeldt was acquired by the large Swedish Wine and Spirits Company i.e. Vin & Sprit AB. When the multinational Pernod-Ricard group aquired Vin & Sprit AB in 2008, they decided to sell Kjær & Sommerfeldt which is now again an independent Danish wine merchant.
